      "Diamond, Pet and Poppy by DeWitt" refers to a painting by artist Roger Dewitt. The painting depicts a pair of Percheron mares named Diamond and Pet, raised by a man in the Ozark region of Missouri, based on a faded photograph taken in 1904.
      The setting is a farm in Western lowa.
      Roger DeWitt grew up on a farm in south central Illinois where his family roots run as deep as the native prairie grass he loves.
      Roger has won numerous awards in local and regional art shows — painting in oil and drawing with graphite pencils”
