A retro example of Devlin’s imaginative style and masterful craftsmanship in precious metals.
The top lifts off to reveal a giraffe and baby bending down to drink. The giraffes are made in silver and have been gilded and enamelled and they stand on a textured silver and enamelled base. The exterior of the egg is textured and gilded. The egg hallmarked for 1976 and is stamped "24" being its limited edition number (24/100).
Highly collectible and increasingly sought after, Devlin’s limited-edition eggs are prized by collectors around the world and considered a solid long-term investment in the art of 20th-century British silversmithing.
