      This dark reddish violet self, offers superb growth and bloom habits. Its moderately sized flowers have a slight ruffle and are completely saturated in dark reddish purple.
      This Iris are hardy and like other bulbs, convenient to grow in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. The blooms last longer in partial shade locations. The Iris germanica can be planted in Fall when the soil temperature falls below 55F to make sure they root well. The top planting time is when the night time temperatures are between 40-50F. For best results, Iris germanica need approximate 12 weeks of temperatures below 50F. Because they grow from a surface rhizome, plant them pointing the direction you want them to grow.
      Bearded iris give us several of the garden's tremendously extraordinary purple flowers.
      Grows approximately 35"-45" tall.
